The Best Games OAT

Terraria is one of the games everybody should try once in their life even if the art-style seem off-putting. The Boss-fights are just to good, especially the ones added by the whole ton of mods that ether add new bosses, rework old ones or add new content like a tracker for bosses to the game. But honestly the best experience you will get is with mods because even though the game is great, it lacks content after the Moonlord which is fixed by mods like calamity.

RDR2 is similar to the other on this list because of the immersion, world-building and character-depth. Even though I am only inside of chapter 3, the variety of quests, characters/ types of npcs and their depth is just unmatched, except for BG3. This is one of the only games where i find myself not using fast-travel, because everything is so beautiful and so many things are happening when traveling through the world, which even lead to whole quest-lines.

Probably the best Game ever made, the widely different outcomes, paths and possibilities inside of quest, conversations and builds are just amazing. The Character are also just so good written and well thought out. And the mod-support gives this game, another huge aspect to explore and replay, even if you replayed the game many times. The view-angle might seem very off putting, even for me at the beginning, but it makes so much sense and doesn’t make the game worse in any way. Because this view, in my opinion, makes the exploring, fight and everything in general better and easier. 100/10, loved it the first time I played it and still do.

This games was one of the reasons I bought my PC, I waited so long to play this game, it is just a very special game for me. And it is so nice to see that they finally made the game stable and run better on most machines, so that much more people could experience this wonder of a game. Even though they didn’t keep many promises for the game, this game is a masterpiece visually and world-building wise. If I could wipe my mind once, I would do it for this game.

Elden Ring is a very noob-friendly soulsborn game, so it was perfect for me as a very bad player to experience this genre of games the first time. When I was at vacation in the middle of my Elden-Ring-time I couldn’t wait to fight again against Radagon, which is also 100% my most beloved/ favourite boss. The DLC also in my opinion was great, it just made the Elden-Ring experience round and introduced great world-building, weapons and bosses.

Niche or Smallish Games, that i love

Narita Boy is very charming game both visually but also storywise. It pretty short around I think 7 hours to 100% the game, needing only one playthrough, with fantastic fighting style, a world that doesn’t hold your hand to solve things but also is not that big you get lost and lose interest. But the story and how it is presented is the main reason why it is here. I just love it and do not want to spoiler it. Definitely pick it up if it is on Sale, which is very often.

Hyperdemon is what I image a LSD-Trip looks like. VERY OVERWHELMING, terrible orientation and creatures looking like Gods and Demons. The Gameplay is similar to , you shoot some kind of lasers from your characters hand that ether can be shoot like a shotgun, which also makes jumptechs possible, or like a autorifle. Your Goal is to kill enemies, surviving and increasing your time for the run because each enemy gives you a bit of time when killed. There are no upgrades, new paths or enemies to unlock. IT IS PURE INCREASE OF SKILL THAT BRINGS PROGRESS.

Witchfire is a lovely Game but it is still in early access so it is unfinished. The gunplay tho feels great, i especially love the scoped rifle/ sniper rifles and the revolvers. The game features upgrades that feels sometimes great and sometimes meh, but in my opinion there are many powerspikes you hit but non of them make the game easy, which is, for the replayability, ultra important in my opinion. But I am honest i didn't play it in a long time and need to pick it up again.

MiniMetro is very cozy, relaxing and stressful at the same time. “Why tf does somebody in East-Warsaw needs to go to the most western Part of Warsaw” and that is my smallest problem because this game is somehow so realistic that pretty much every Train and Trainstation is overcrowded, the trainlines are at least one bridge, tunnel or fast train short and if one area or line makes problems you gain another two ,when trying to solve it, in some other area. But it is a great “brain off” game.

Gambonanza is a chess rogue-lite or rogue-like, I always mislable them, and it is real chess, like real real, I got outplay so often by the Ai only do to my horrible chess-skills. Every boss is also a reference to a famous chess player, which is very funny. Even though it is only a Demo right now I really enjoy it and play 3h in one session.
